In this presentation, Dr Bob Campbell, Chair of ATSC's Conformance Implementation Team, will describe the elements of a succesful conformance and interoperability testing program, the process by which the NEXTGEN TV logo program has developed and how it accelerates ATSC 3.0 roll out.

CTA and NAB, in partnership with Eurofins Digital Testing, worked to develop a NEXTGEN TV Test Suite for use by reciever manufacturers. With contributions from stakeholders from the Consumer Electronics and Broadcaster sides, this test suite is evolving to match the roadmap for roll out of ATSC 3.0 features and ensure the promise of the technology is achieved in viewers living rooms and for all the ecosystem.

This presentation will explain how the conformance program works and how to start the process of conformance testing, or contribute to it. It will also cover the complementary program for conformance testing to the ATSC 3.0 Security Authority (A3SA) DRM and Service Security requirements, which are key to premium services and content protection in ATSC 3.0 services.
