Yoshida , Colleen
Colleen Yoshida is the senior director of advertising for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). The LVCVA is the destination marketing organization for Las Vegas and Southern Nevada, and its mission centers on attracting visitors by promoting the destination as the world’s most desirable destination for leisure and business travel. The LVCVA also owns and operates the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas Monorail and the Convention Center Loop.
In her role, Ms. Yoshida oversees the organization’s advertising and brand efforts. Additionally, she provides oversight of the LVCVA’s advertising and social media agencies of record, including the evolution of the famous What Happens Here, Stays Here campaign, the most successful destination marketing campaign in history.
Ms. Yoshida joined the LVCVA in 2011, having previously worked at Wynn Resorts managing advertising and brand initiatives for Wynn and Encore and was part of the resorts’ opening team. Ms. Yoshida also held positions at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and other hotel properties in roles including advertising, leisure sales and casino marketing.
Originally from Hawaii, Colleen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Indiana University, Bloomington.
